The Hall has been recently restored and renovated in a co-ordinating scheme to do justice to its history and its setting. The wainscoting has been painted a quiet Georgian green, the room re papered an re painted throughout. The fine gothic windows on the south side were remade by a firm of heritage joiners and the toilet and cloackroom windows replaced. The original church pews providing seating on three sides have new upholstery and the folding chairs giving flexible seating around the 7 circular tables have new co-ordinating cushions. The Victorian-style ceiling and wall lights have been restained. The curtains enable the room to be blacked out for slides etc.
Please note: The Hall is used every morning, Monday to Saturday as the Church Coffee Shop, serving teas, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits but is available for hire afternoons and evenings. It will seat about 30 around the tables in ‘teashop’ layout and more if the bench seating is used.
